WHO WE ARE

Background Information
Obaratile Innovations is a Christian, non-denominational private company dedicated to restoring the soul, dignity, and hope of disadvantaged children and their families.
Founded in 2002 as a community outreach initiative and officially registered in 2022, Obaratile Innovations has already touched the lives of more than 300 children and families across Gauteng, Limpopo, and the North West Province. Today, we extend our services across all nine provinces of South Africa and beyond.
Our work is led by Tsontso-M, a diligent community builder, supported by her husband and children, family members, and volunteers. She combines professional expertise with heartfelt service to transform lives.
Our name, “Obaratile,” is a Setswana/Sepedi word meaning “God loves them.” It reflects both our faith and our mission: to remind every child that they are loved by God, by us, and by our partners. The name was chosen by combining the names of our founders’ children: Obotegile (God is faithful ) and Oratile (God loved or desired it!).
We exist to serve orphans, children from poverty-stricken and dysfunctional backgrounds (ages 0–18), and young adults up to 25, by creating big, unforgettable, life-changing experiences that build self-worth and inspire brighter futures.
At Obaratile, we live by our slogan “Loved to Love” and our bold approach “Go BIG or Go Home!” Everything we do must be glamorous, meaningful, and unforgettable—because we believe every child deserves nothing less.
“Thanks a gazillion to our amazing team!”

Our Purpose
To identify and reach “specially lovedchildren” in our communities through fun programmes that will give them unforgettable experiences to help them develop purposeful personal goals for future.
Slogan: Loved-to-love
Because our aim is to show and give love to the children who have a limited or no supply of it, so that once they receive God’s love and our love, they can pass it on!
Methodology: “Go BIG or Go Home!"
If we are to help someone, we must do it in a big, impactful and glamorous way that will Glorify God, touch their lives and give them memories to treasure. Without these high standards being met, we prefer never to intervene at all.
OUR MASCOT
Our Christmas celebration held every year on the 9th of December is in honor of the founder’s beloved grandmother, Mrs Amelia Thulethu Mnweba (fondly known as Mawe). Mawe was unemployment with limited education , growing up she encouraged us to trust in the power of pray and attributed her success in life ,of raising 5 God-fearing and educated children ,to her intimate relationship with God.Her short and precise prayer , which has become our heirloom , was her pleading with God to protect her children, raise them up to be impactful and influential in this world through their relationship with Him and that they should acquire the highest possible academic qualifications. She prayed :
Ngi ba qelela u guthi ba be
1. Nga mamablomi ehlabathi ( beautiful ‘flowers’ on earth)
2. Efa la se zulwini ( eternal life)
2. Efa la se mhlabeni ( education)
She was rewarded with a long, healthy life and departed to glory in 2013 at the age of 93 years old. It is through the passing on of the baton to subsequent generations that the legacy of women like Mawe will continue to be impactful.
